We are currently offering internship positions at UNFPA’s Tokyo Office to those who have the following qualifications. We look forward to receiving your applications.

<Requirements and Qualifications>

The candidate:

・Should have knowledge and experience in international cooperation and the field of development. In particular, those who have demonstrated an interest in areas such as population and development problems, sexual and reproductive health/rights, gender equality, women’s empowerment, and youth.
・Must be proficient in written and spoken English (TOEIC 800, TOEFL (P)570, (C)229, (I)89)
・Must be able to use MS Office. Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML would be an asset.
・Is currently pursuing or has recently completed a Bachelor or Master’s degree


・1 month (taking over work duties) +6 months. Subsequent contract extension is also possible.
・3 days/week (weekdays only). Interns will be asked to respond accordingly before events.
・In addition to the above, it is also possible to complete the internship in a short period of time.

Tasks and Responsibilities

・Assistant for UNFPA Tokyo Office
・Interns will assist in a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to, making preparations and arrangements for high officials from headquarters during their visits to Japan, updating website and social media, English translation, preparing lecture materials and reports, supporting the organization of events, and conducting office work and accounting operations.


・Interns do not receive a salary or any other form of remuneration
